There is not a whole lot that can be said about this map. It is made for EntityPlus, which is a better platform for highscore-chasing types of maps than vanilla Quake 3. It is immediately obvious where this map got its inspiration from: Nintendo's retro NES classic Duckhunt. Played from a first person perspective, the goal is to shoot as many of the bots that whizz through the air as possible within the 60 second time limit. The player can not move around and is limited to using the shotgun, reinforcing the Duckhunt theme.

The Shotgun might seem like an odd choice for a map like this, but it is the obvious choice when you consider the requirements for a map like this: a hitscan weapon with a relatively low reload speed. The railgun's reload time is so high that it would seriously slow down the game. The other option, the machinegun, shoots too fast. The shotgun is the nice middle ground, and even though it has a spread pattern making it easier to hit targets, it's still surprisingly difficult to get actual kills. Points are scored not only for killing enemies though (although it does net a 20 point bonus), you do get points for simply dealing damage as well.

The map grants you sixty seconds in which you can shoot the "ducks" (Uriel bots in this case). The time remaining is indicated by six red blocks on the floor right in front of you. Every ten seconds a block disappears. When the timer hits zero, the map ends and the endgame scoreboard is shown. Highscores are kept in classic EntityPlus fashion, allowing you to try and improve your best scores.

The additional gimmick of this map is that it's actually three separate maps. The first, simply called Duckhunt has a classic Duckhunt look, complete with snickering dog. A second version of the map has a Doom inspired theme. It's dressed in hellish red colors and wouldn't be complete without the Hellknight, Pinky demon, ripped apart Imp and of course a huge pentagram. The third incarnation of the map, called Duckhunt VR! replaces all graphics with holo-style neon grid patterns. It even features it's own custom objectives overlay graphic (press the tab key!). The gameplay of the three versions of the map is identical, so picking one of the three versions is a matter of taste.
